Can you believe it’s Friday already? For the past two years I’ve made a goal to read two books a month. Not books for my kids, but for me. I tend to read a lot of YA novels, classics, historical fiction, and non-fiction. Kind of a weird combo, but hey, that’s how I roll. So for Favorite Things Friday this week I want to share my top 5 books I want to read this Fall:
Cinder. This series by Marissa Meyer has been on my list for over a year now, but I intend to take the plunge before the year is out!
Dracula. Because I’m not over the vampire craze and also, what is more Fall-ish than vampires? Yes. I’m 32 years old and I still want Damon to end up with Elena in the end of Vampire Diaries! Does anyone else watch this show and feel completely and overwhelmingly sad that the show is coming to an end this season? Well, I’ve decided to go back to the old school vampirism classic instead of reading that newish Twilight book I’ve been meaning to read since last year.
Five Presidents. Back to the whole political drama theme, I am really intrigued by this one. Fun fact: before I had kids I used to pick a campaign or a proposition every year and volunteer. I canvassed neighborhoods, and even traveled with my university’s political club to different states to lend my volunteer hours. I love election season!
The Witches. My husband’s ancestry includes some accused victims of the Salem Witch trials, so this books really appeals to me. Also, with Halloween just around the corner it seems appropriate.
SkinnyTaste Fast and Slow. Okay, okay. I know this doesn’t fall into your typical reading list, but I am SO excited for Gina Homolka’s second cookbook! I absolutely love SkinnyTaste because everything is so fresh and clean and delicious. And I love crockpot cooking. A LOT.
What about you? I’d love to know what is on everyone else’s Fall reading list!
